Got a question you need answered?

More often than not, our guests have a question they need answered. Below is a list of the most frequently asked questions.
Please note: It is important that you must not exceed the capacity of the accommodation for any reason, regardless or whether it is an adult, child or infant.

Do we need to bring our own bedding?

No – we will make your beds up for your arrival. If your accommodation features a sofabed and you require bedding for this, please e-mail info@richardsonsgroup.net with your request – make sure to include your booking reference so we can locate your booking.

Do we need to bring our own towels?

Yes – as we are a self-catered park, you will need to bring your own towels.

Is there anything else we need?

We provide cooking facilities and utensils – we advise you bring provisions including cleaning materials and toilet rolls. If you need any extra oven trays, cutlery etc. Please contact reception.  Our Platinum Lodges feature a washing machine and dishwasher – if you intend to use these appliances, we also recommend you bring items such as dishwasher tablets or washing liquid needed for this.

What time can I check-in?

We operate a staggered check-in so please help us ensure check-in runs smoothly and only queue for check in at or after your check in time. We regretfully will not be able to check you in earlier than this.

Platinum Lodges, Platinum Caravans and Gold Caravans check-in from 2.00pm 

Silver Caravans, Bungalows and Studio Apartments check-in from 3.00pm

Apartments and Chalets check-in from 4.00pm

What do I need for check-in?

Please ensure you have your booking confirmation to hand – we will do the rest!

What if I am early?

As mentioned, we will not be able to check you in prior to your check in time. However, you are welcome to use our facilities before check-in – please make sure you have your booking confirmation to hand as the team will need to check this in place of your membership cards which will be given at check in. So why not grab a bite to eat from our Quarterdeck Restaurant or take a dip in the pool in our Yacht Club Leisure Complex before you check in?

What if I am going to arrive late?

Reception closes at 8:00pm on Mondays and Fridays. If you are going to arrive after this, please do not worry as security will be able to check you in. They are on-site from 6:00pm – 8:00am every day.

What if I have a problem after I have checked in?

Please let us know as soon as possible by visiting us in reception. Emergency information is included in your Welcome Aboard booklet, which is provided on arrival.

When is check-out?

Please check out by 10:00am at Reception. We do politely request you check-out on time, so we can ensure your accommodation is ready for our next guests and to help their holiday run smoothly. If you need to leave while Reception is closed, please leave your accommodation keys on the Reception desk.

Where can I park?

We have 2 car parks (with limited electrical car charging points available if needed) at reception. For caravans there is 1 hard standing parking space next to each caravan. Platinum Lodges have 1 gravelled parking space and Apartments / Bungalows will have smaller car parks nearby. You can park on the grass next to the Chalet accommodation. For Gold Studio Apartments, please use the Yacht Club Leisure Complex car park.

Do I need to bring my infants cot/cot side/highchair?

We do have travel cots, cot sides and highchairs available for hire for a small charge from our hire shop on-site.

Can I book Go Active activities before I arrive?

All Go Active activities are available to book once you arrive onsite. You’ll find all information about what’s on and when inside your Welcome Aboard brochure. You’ll receive this in your welcome pack during check-in.

What is the takeover time for accommodation at Hemsby Beach?

The time you can check-in to your accommodation varies, please take a look below to see a full list of check-in times.

Accommodation must be vacated by 10.00am on your departure day.

Can I take my dog on my Richardson’s holiday?

Dogs are allowed at Hemsby Beach only in the specific pet accommodation. There is a charge of £30 per week and £15 per short break for pets.

In the interest of visitors’ safety and following government legislation, we are unable to accept the following types of dogs: American Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, XL Bully, Fila Brasileiro, and Dogo Argentino, or any other dog listed by the Government Dangerous Dogs Act, even where these dogs are muzzled as required by government legislation.

Are there any discounts for large group bookings?

Special deals are in place for large groups. Please contact the holiday park for more information.

Can I hire cots and highchairs?

Yes, these cost £10 each to hire.

Is there any additional charge made for the entertainment shows on my holiday?

No, entertainment is part of the holiday package.

What is a self catering holiday?

Simply put, a self catering holiday is one where you’re in control of your dining options. Our holidays are all self-catering, and all of our accommodation comes with a kitchen or kitchenette, plus we have our Quarterdeck Restaurant on-site as well as Posh Plaice, our fish bar, in our Yacht Club Leisure Complex.

What entertainment is on during my break at Hemsby Beach Holiday Park?

We have lots of great entertainment throughout the year at Hemsby Beach Holiday Park, from a variety of performances by our well-loved Richardson’s Entertainment team to our fantastic Star Acts!
