Discover all the best spots in the Broads National Park

One of the advantages of holidaying at Hemsby Beach Holiday Park is its location on the stunning Norfolk coastline – another is its proximity to the beautiful Broads National Park. You can explore the area via the many footpaths and nature reserves, or take to the water with Richardson’s Day Boat Hire.

Explore the Broads Discovery Hubs

Discovery Hubs are designed to promote The Broads as a sustainable, car-free destination, creating a network that provides a way to explore the Broads on foot, by bike and on the water. As accessible information points, they explain the history, wildlife and landscape of the area and will encourage people to visit the many and varied aspects of the National Park. They are great places to relax and soak up the unique atmosphere of the Broads and to access local services, attractions and experiences.

As well as Hemsby Beach Holiday Park, we also own and operate Richardson’s Day Boat Hire in the popular Broads village of Wroxham. Seating 5 to 12 people, our day boats can cater to most party sizes, and are easy to drive with full instructions given before departure. From Wroxham, you can cruise along the waterways to visit picturesque locations such as the tranquil Salhouse Broad and the pretty village of Coltishall where you’ll find some great Broads Pubs and Restaurants including The Rising Sun, The King’s Head and The Norfolk Mead.

You don’t have to travel aboard a boat to enjoy the beauty of the Broads – there are many places to visit by car or on foot too. Close to Hemsby Beach Holiday Park is Martham Broad National Nature Reserve, which is home to many of Norfolk’s birds and insects and a great place for nature spotting with the family. Just up the road to the north is the iconic Horsey Windpump, managed by the National Trust, while to the west you’ll find the How Hill Trust, an environmental educational charity located near the village of Ludham. With gardens and wildlife trails to explore, it also has a tea room serving hot and cold drinks, cakes, and ice creams.
