Discover all the best spots in Norwich
Just 20 miles away from Hemsby Beach Holiday Park, Norwich is a beautiful historic city. It’s famed for its shopping, food and drink, with plenty of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, as well as national names. The city is also renowned for its cultural and historical attractions, such as the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, Norwich Castle, the Museum of Norwich and the annual Norfolk & Norwich Festival. Meanwhile, there’s plenty of kids’ and family entertainment to be enjoyed, from cinemas to escape rooms, soft play areas and multiple theatres. You’ll be spoilt for choice!
The spire of Norwich Cathedral is one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks. Founded in 1096, the building is as awe-inspiring from the outside as it is on the inside. Kids and adults alike will enjoy spotting the colourful characters depicted in the roof bosses of the cloisters, and following the path of the labyrinth that’s marked in the grass there. Public worship is also held regularly, for those who wish to attend a service. Before you leave, be sure to take a stroll through the beautiful grounds in which the cathedral is set – you may even spot the peregrines that nest on the spire each year!
